Reporting to the Vice-President, the Director will develop and lead the implementation and development of effective planning processes for City; provide leadership and direction on a broad range of institutional planning and assessment activities and initiatives that impact institutional decision making; facilitate reviews and discussions of planning, assessment and research findings; provide consulting support to Schools and Professional Services in their planning and assessment processes and reviews; and provide guidance for School and Professional Service staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of planning and performance assessment. The Director will also serve as the prime source of management information for senior management in monitoring City’s overall progress and success.

The Director reports to the Vice-President (Strategy & Planning, Equality & Diversity). The Director will lead the Unit and develop a culture based on the institution’s five values Ensure that each member of the Unit regularly and meaningfully engages with each School and Professional Service to support ongoing strategic developments, including market intelligence Support the development of staff and the appropriate deployment use of data and analysis in support of V&S26.
