The post holder has a key role as part of the College Management Team, working closely with the PVC / Head of College to identify new opportunities for the University. The post holder will play a pivotal role in the growth and diversification of the College of Arts, whilst maintaining clear and effective operational management. As part of this, the post holder will be expected to take the lead in key strategic projects, including but not limited to: project management of space, estates and technology projects; international growth; and the planned expansion of external income generation.

In conjunction with the PVC / Head of College, the post holder will take the lead in devising and delivering the College strategy, including the annual College Plan, and long-term College Strategic Plan and KPIs. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of planning activities and will lead on monitoring of progress, including the achievement of KPIs and targets, strategic thinking around the Risk Register, and on identification and monitoring of corrective actions.

In addition, the post holder will provide operational management of the College, in particular: to lead/line manage the top level of the professional services teams (administration and technical); to lead liaison and coordination with central services to continuously improve administrative processes; to implement University policies and monitor compliance; to oversee College financial, resource, estate management and Health and Safety issues.
