Director of Faculty Planning and Operations
Manchester Metropolitan University
Competitive salary plus benefits
Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK’s most exciting, inspiring, ambitious and friendly higher education institutions. Under a new Vice-Chancellor, it has developed a new vision and clear strategy. Its ambition is simple: to be a great modern university, in a great global city, to make an impact on Manchester, the nation and beyond. With a prominent position at the centre of the Northern Powerhouse, a refreshed academic strategy, strong financial platform, an award-winning estate and ambitious investment plans, few universities could be better-placed to succeed.
The University is undergoing a significant transformation programme consolidating the number of Faculties and bringing together Professional Services. They are now seeking to appoint four Directors of Faculty Planning and Operations to provide professional services leadership, strategic guidance and support for the implementation of Faculty strategic priorities. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, and working closely with the Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty Executive Group and the wider Professional Services Leadership team, the Directors will have responsibility for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Faculty strategic plans. They will also ensure the successful delivery of key strategic change projects, whilst ensuring that the Faculty is meeting its KPIs in line with the University’s wider goals.
The successful candidate will have a track record that demonstrates high-level planning responsibility within the Higher Education sector. They will be proactive and influential, with the credibility to lead during times of change, across organisational boundaries. Each Director will be able to demonstrate the delivery of strategic priorities alongside the balancing of future planning activities for a complex organisation.
