The newly created post of Director of Campus Life will play a key role in the continued delivery of strategies in central student support professional services in accord with the ‘Excellence in Education and Student Life’ core strategy of GS2020.

Charged with leading on a diverse and multi-disciplinary portfolio, the Director of Campus Life will oversee a directorate of key University activity including Student Welfare Services, Accommodation, Careers & Employability, Sport and off campus student affairs amongst others. Reporting into the Registrar, he/she will work with the University Executive Board and other senior leaders to deliver an immersive, rich and service-orientated campus experience for both students and staff. The Director of Campus Life will take an innovative approach to constant service improvement of the student experience including strategic oversight of student operations in China and Malaysia. This is an exciting opportunity to shape this function at the University of Nottingham.

The Director of Campus Life will be an experienced Higher Education leader ideally with experience of leading diverse areas of student services in a complex, multi-faceted organisation. He/she will have advanced knowledge of University operations with the ability and gravitas to lead a high-performing team of experts. The successful candidate will be well-versed in broader HE change and will possess a strong commitment to continuous professional development and an unwavering focus on delivering outstanding service. He/she will have significant strategy experience and possess the ability to build credible and long term relationships with all University stakeholders, students and international partners.
