Working within Birkbeck’s ambitious and successful External Relations team, the Corporate Partnerships Officer will provide business development expertise in the digital or social care sector as part of the Work Readiness Programme, aimed at supporting those students who are furthest away from the labour market.
This new post will develop relationships with relevant companies with a view to securing multi-faceted partnerships which will include philanthropic support and job opportunities for students.
With experience of working with or within the digital or social media sector, you will be confident, determined and enjoy securing business meetings which you will attend with the Universities Corporate Partnerships Manager. The candidate will work to agreed key performance indicators and have previous experience in business development – with proven results.
The successful candidate will be able to create new contacts and build on existing corporate partners to maximise revenue and corporate interactions for our student base. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a new and innovative sector that is growing exponentially.
You should have a track record of business development in either the digital or social care sectors, with experience of initiating and managing work projects requiring a level of negotiating skills and collaborative working. You will also need good IT and administrative skills, together with business development and account management skills.
