Sophisticated engagement with East Asia is a cornerstone of this strategy and the modern Confucius Institute recently established in Coventry is a key element within this.
The Confucius Institute develops and co-ordinates cross-campus programming and interdisciplinary events reflecting on China’s rapidly growing global impact. It brings together Faculty, students and regional and national stakeholder groups to engage with China and to learn more about Chinese language and culture – both on campus and as part of outreach to business and the community.
We are now looking for a full-time Chief Operating Officer for the CI, reflecting the growing portfolio of activities. Working within the CI leadership team, the post will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient delivery of services and for business development and will suit a dynamic, self-starting individual with an international outlook.
